شيرين تهامي هى أول فتاة تخرجت كصوليست من بيت العود العربى بدرجة امتياز وثالث خريج من بيت العود عموما لتصبح بعد ذلك أستاذة فى بيت العود العربى بمصر منذ عام 2002 أما الأن فهى أستاذة فى بيت العود العربى بالامارات العربية المتحدة ومن الجدير بالذكر أنها حاصلة أيضا على بكالوريوس اعلام قسم اخراج من جامعة القاهرة وقد قال عنها الموسيقار العراقى العالمى نصير شمة " تمتلك شيرين أسرارا و رقة للغوص فى أعماق أى تفصيلة تخص العود والموسيقى و تخرج منها بسلاسة محملة بخبرة جديدة ، منذ الدرس الأول لها معى قلت لزملائها فى بيت العود أنها ستحقق شيئا هاما يضاف لرصيد العود و لمساهمة المرأة فى هذا المجال الذى ظل حكرا على الرجل لسنوات طويلة. و اليوم أرى شيرين تهامى - وبعد تخرجها بدرجة امتياز و تبؤها لدرجة أستاذة فى بيت العود - أرى مستقبلها حافلا بالعروض التى ستمثل فيها العود و بلدها و المرأة بشكل مشرف" وقد شاركت الفنانة شيرين تهامى فى العديد من الحفلات داخل و خارج مصر كصوليست و كعضوة فى فرقة بيت العود وفرقة ( البيارق ) وثلاثى بيت العود وقائدة فرقة بنات بيت العود العربى. وأخيرا فإن شيرين قد إستطاعت أن تجمع بين المدرسة العراقية والتركية من جهة والتى تتميز بالتقنية العالية فى الأداء و بين المدرسة المصرية من جهة أخرى و التى تتميز بالاحساس العالى والنغم الأصيل لتنتج لنا أسلوبا جديدا وحديثا

التدريس لآلة العود فى معهد الحفنى للموسيقى العربية بإشراف دكتورة رتيبة الحفنى من سنة 2000 إلى 2002
التدريس منذ عام 2002 للعزف على آلة العود بأساليب و مهارت عالية لمدارس مختلفة (مصرية - شامية - عراقية - تركية - خليجية) فى بيت العود العربى مصر و الإنتقال للتدريس منذ عام 2009 للآن لبيت العود العربى - هيئة أبوظبى للثقافة والتراث - أبوظبى وذلك بإشراف الموسيقار نصير شمة
تدريس النظريات الموسيقية منذ سنة 2002 لجميع الأعمار والعديد من الجنسيات باللغات (العربية والفرنسية والإنجليزية) فى بيت العود العربى - مصر و أبو ظبى
تخريج عدد كبير من طلبة بيت العود العربى (مصر وأبوظبى) ليكونوا عازفين و أساتذة فى مجال العود

المشاركة فى عدد من الفرق الموسيقية وتكوين فرق فتيات بيت العود فى مصر وذلك لدعم دور المرأة بصفة عامة و دور المرأة العربية بصفة خاصة إيمانا بدورها الفعال فى النهوض بأمتها و الإرتقاء بأدواتها فى تقدم أسرتها و مجتمعها و وطنها ومؤخرا كونت أول فرقة موسيقية نسائية من نوعها فى العالم العربى - نجمات
Sherine Tohamy is the first girl graduated as a soloist represents Egypt in the Arab Oud House and the third graduate of the Arab Oud House in general. Sherine has been a professor at the Arab Oud House in Egypt since 2002, but now she is a professor at the Arab Oud House of U.A.E, it should be noted that she had also a bachelor of media (direction) - Cairo University .
The famous Iraqi musician Naseer Shamma said about her "Sherine can reach the secrets by diving smoothly in the depth of the music discovering always a new experience, since the first lesson with me I said to her colleagues in the Arab Oud house, She will add an important thing to the women in this field who has been preserved for men for many years. And today - after she became a professor - I think her future will be full of performances for her country, woman and lute in general”
Sherine Tohamy has participated in several concerts inside and outside Egypt as a soloist, a member of the Arab Oud House group (Al Bayareq) and as a member of the trio of (tholathy beat aloud) and as a leader for Femal Arab oud house group
Finally Sherine had been able to understand the Iraqi and the Turkish school, on the one hand, which is characterized by high-tech performance and the Egyptian school on the other hand, which is characterized by the high sense and heritage inherent music to produce finally a new music which able to give the Arabic musician the global musician qualifications.
Experiences in the musical field:
- Teaching Oud at the Hefny Institute of Arab Music under the supervision of Dr. Rateba Al-Hefny from 2000 to 2002
- Teaching since 2002 to play different Oud methods and tequnics of different schools (Egyptian - Shamia - Iraqi - Turkish - Arabian gulf) in the Arab Oud House - Egypt and after that Arab Oud House - Abu Dhabi since 2009 til now under the supervision of the musician Naseer Shamma
- teaching music theories since 2002 with different languages (Arabic, French and English) at Arab Oud House (Egypt, Abu Dhabi).
- graduation of many students from the Arab Oud House (Egypt, Abu Dhabi) to be musicians and professors in the field of Oud.
- Provide several workshops for the Oud in many of the cultural centers of many countries in the world.
- Sherine Tohamy has performed along other musicians in many important international music festivals around the world such as:-

- Sherine Tohamy has made many international tours performing as a solo artist :-

- the First International Festival of Oud in Malaysia.
- provide many outstanding students in concerts and musical workshops with teams of different nationalities to increase their self-confidence.
-Many press, radio and television interviews in many countries to introduce the importance of Oud and music to change human life for better and to prove for everyone that the dreams can come true with perseverance and determination, no sex, color, or age can stop the true talent.
-Releasing the first female Oud solo album ever (Malaysia live concert 2012)
